For our fifth design challenge, we chose to make a Boulder edition of Planet Earth. We appropriated Planet Earth clips and audio that we thought could be used along with our own clips to create a narrative about Boulder. We chose and edited audio clips together from multiple episodes to create a seamless narrative that shows different parts of the city.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Working on this project was interesting, especially as a group. I think that our “inspiration”, Planet Earth, worked well for this assignment. By selecting and editing audio to create the basis of our scenes, along with some appropriated video, we made a template for each group member to work with. We all knew the general theme for each section, but a lot of it was up to interpretation, as well as what we could get on camera. Filming nature and on the street is unscripted, and really unpredictable in what shots we could get. I think seeing what everyone did for each scene was interesting too, because they turned out even more different than I expected.
